Just wanted to update you with an application that I have been seeing around quite a bit lately and that is myhomecarebiz.com. You can speak to Melissa@myhomecarebiz.com to see if it is a fit for your agency.
What I like about it is it is very affordable, no server to buy and has a telephony option for personal care or aide services. So it has been a good fit for agencies already doing private duty and now expanding into certified Medicare. Melissa’s team has created a terrific algorithm which goes a long way in developing a problem based plan of care. This allows users to answer “yes” on those new OASIS questions regarding interventions in place on the care plan.
Myhomecarebiz.com starts out at $99/user with a minimum of 3 users. The agency pays first and last month user fees and that’s it. No activation fee. Over 5 users and the price per user is cut in half ($49).
Bear in mind, this is a web-based solution, meaning some investment in laptops will be necessary. However, the requirements are minimum and the cheaper laptops are compatible.



  1. This is he worst program out there. Be carefully when you sign up. Demo Looks good but once you start using it program is not ready to go Live. Links errors, worst customer service. Never get a life person even in emergency.

    • I will echo what the person says above. I have used the software for about 7 months and cant wait to switch. The owner had a good concept but the product is too buggy and has too many steps to be user friendly. When you have a problem, you can’t ever get someone on the phone. You always have to leave a message for someone to call you back. This company is at least 2 years away from being ready to go live.

  2. Definitely a great concept. But a lot of bugs in the system. We might look at this product again in about 3-4 years? The problem is the owner: she’s just too defensive of her product, and not really open to suggestions. It’s either her way, or the hi-way. And you just cannot do that to your customers. We should have listened to the first comment above (2010), and spared ourselves the time, money and resources wasted.
    Again, great concept. Just not ready yet.

    1. The software is Live and has been for several years.

    2. We pride ourselves in our strong customer service, training and support. If you do not reach a live person, someone will immediately get back to you.

    3. Any bugs have been worked out.
